Cute Asian things and letter from my new penpal ♡

Hello everyone! Last Saturday I spent the whole afternoon at my city's Asian neighborhood, I got to eat some curry rice and explore all the stores, I go there quite often but this time I really spent several hours shopping for some Korean kimbap ingredients to make on Sunday and also found a lot of cute stuff.

My first stop was at Fancy Goods, a store that sells all kinds of cute, they have a lot of stationery from Japan and Korea there, needless to say their stuff is expensive so I only bought a notebook that I really really liked and wasn't one of the expensive ones.

I love things that look shabbychic, kitsch, whatever you call, this one is really unique and different from the same old Rilakkuma/Daiso/etc stationery that I have.
Speaking of Daiso I also went there and it was the most unsuccessful trip I ever took to Daiso I can recall, I only grabbed a few items.

I got another pack of tissues, I always need to keep stocking them specially during winter (which is very dry in Brazil, and yep, it's winter over here right now). I also got a strawberry bento bag and a plush bottle cover that is probably the most useless thing ever but it's so cute and soft :/

Actually, now that I got the bag, the only thing I don't have yet from this series is the chopstick set, besides that I think I collected them all already ♡

I ended up getting more treats this time, although I intend to start a diet pretty soon. A year ago when I first met my boyfriend I was weighting 56,5 kilo and now I'm 60,5 kilo!! Yep, apparently boyfriend made me chubby, we're starting a diet pretty soon --'

Peach flavored water, lychee Mogu Mogu and raspeberry Korean juice (the label says Bok Bun Ja I guess). I haven't tried those yet except Mogu Mogu, which I buy whenever I get the chance, lychee is the best flavor I think and apple takes the 2nd place, I don't like the other flavors. I really recommend you trying lychee Mogu Mogu if you like trying different things. As long as I know this juice is from Thailand and it's extremely popular in Asia, everytime I post a picture of this juice on Instagram many girls comment saying that they love it.

Pepero, also known as "The Korean Pocky". Since I buy this product a lot I can always tell when it's on a good price, this thing is extremely inflation sensitive, the price usually ranges from 2,50 to 5,00 brazilian reais (at the same stores). This weekend I found it on it's cheapest, too bad they didn't have the strawberry flavor, which is my favorite, but the cookies and cream one is also great, I also like the melon flavor, although this one is very rare around here. It tastes just like Pocky and it costs a lot less.

Another thing I love and it's hard to find in Brazil nowadays is Chupa Chups, is not the kind of thing you can find at any candy shop, even if you find it there aren't many options: strawberry, cherry, orange, milky strawberry and that's about it. When I went to Uruguay in January I made sure to bring back some home but the flavors my boyfriend found in Japan were the best ever. Mango Hi-Chew is so yummy I regret not buying an extra pack.

This milky strawberry Korean candy was about 50% off so I brought a pack but I didn't like it that much, it's kind of soft but not gummy neither taffy, it's just weird.

Again caught by a beautifully designed package!! This is so cute and detailed... I'm not sure what it tastes like and haven't opened yet.

It's supposed to emulate embroidery... The japanese are so creative. And last thing is this really cute ice cream shaped candy.

Cuteness everywhere ~^o^~ I can't even picture myself in Japan or Korea...I'd probably go crazy and want to buy everything there.
Speaking of Asia I got the first letter from my Hong Kong penpal Tiffany! She sent me sooo much I didn't even get to take a picture of it all! She even sent me Berry & Açaí Pocky which is clearly inspired in Brazil, so nice of her.

*Feeling spoiled*. I posted her reply today, hope it arrives soon! Also I got the chance to go to that exhibition I've been wanting to go thanks to my boyfriend who is so awesome, we went last Thursday but since this post is already too long I'll talk about it on my next "Weekend" post. See you guys soon ♡.

Weekend haul and letter from a new penpal ♡

Hi everyone! I'm here again to talk about the shopping part of last weekend so let's get to it. On Friday I went to Expo Korea and the cosmetic brand It's Skin had a booth there from where I got a few items:

Since it was the last day of Expo Korea they didn't have many products available anymore, but I managed to get those pastel nail polishes, the blue ones look very similar in the picture but one is actually more of a light turquoise blue. Pastel blue and pastel pink are my favorite nail polish colors so I can't resist to buy a new one when I see a pretty shade. I can't wait to try them on.

I also got Blueberry and Carrot face masks, that is not the kind of product I use on a regular basis but I like to store some for when I feel like having a "Beauty Day" at home.
That's all I actually bought at Expo Korea, but I got a lot of freebies. To escape the traffic we went to the mall and usually I'm not a mall person, but one of the stores I like was having a sale. It's a Argentinian store called Morph that's pretty much a gift shop that sells home decor, stationery, etc.

Cupcake tin and ice cream sticky notes. The cupcake tin is the same my mom has at her house, I love decorating my room and I thought the cute tin would be a nice thing to add, I'll probably use it for keeping more tea from my collection.

The ice cream sticky notes are just pure love I bought one for me and one for my friend. I shouldn't be buying more stationery since I'm already well supplied but too cute to pass up.
I grabbed some of their last notebooks, those do not go with my pastel style but I liked them same way.

I went to Forever 21 finally! The first store in Brazil opened a few months ago and I only had the chance to check it out last weekend. I used to buy from Forever 21 whenever I could, back in Seattle and every time a relative was traveling I'd order a massive box of clothes and send to their hotels. Forever 21 is not that much my style, I usually prefer Zara, although I'm not a follower of fashion trends I can always find a few things of my taste at fast fashion stores. At Forever 21 I liked a scarf, a few shorts (which I already have too many in my wardrobe), a t-shirt and a dress, but since F21 is not as cheap in Brazil (not at all) as it is the U.S I only got the dress. The picture really does not make it any justice but here it is...

It is pretty much a very very shorter version of a JSK! It even has adjustable straps and full back shirring and with a little more fabric the skirt would fit a petticoat. Of course I didn't get it for Lolita purposes though. It looks a lot better when on, I like that it's fit on my thin parts and lose at my fat parts but since it's a little too short I'll probably wear it with tights!
And last thing I got came from the mail! It's a barrette to wear with my Cherish My Juicy Cherry JSK, it's off-brand and I got it from eBay:

I picked a few new penpals a while ago, now I have five of them If I well remember the older ones are from Australia and Canada, the new ones are from Puerto Rico, Hong Kong and Austria, I received the letter first letter from Lisa (a lolita who lives in Austria) yesterday:

Letters from penpals really have the power to brighten up a gloomy day like the one I was having yesterday. She also sent me whale sticky notes that are super cute. I already wrote her back and the envelope is ready to post!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post and to finish just one last picture from this kawaii art I saw at the mall:

The World does need more cuteness, hopefully I'll find more to share on my blog soon ♡

Expo Korea, Tea Connetion Lolita meeting and cute places ♡

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted and now I have so many things to talk about that I decided to make two separate posts. Today I'm gonna talk about the things I did last weekend and the weekend before and later this week I'll post my weekend haul.
Saturday (on the 9th) I went to a flea market that is very famous in my city but I'd never stopped by before, they had a few nice things but I didn't feel like getting any of them, the highlight is that, actually, nearby the flea market, a milkshake truck was parked, my boyfriend was the one who spotted and we went there immediately:

We got Oreo milkshake and it was awesome, plus the World needs more pastel food trucks, the striped pink cup also gets points, too bad it was somewhat expensive. I'd go again for sure though.
Later on the same day we went to an Italian restaurant called Buttina.

The main course was gnocchi. I rarely go to Italian restaurants but when I do all I can remember is my grandma's food ♡

On Sunday it was Fathers Day in my country so I went to Johnny Rockets with my family and after we went watch "Blended", the new Adam Sandler comedy, which was indeed very funny at least to me and my siblings.

Finally, last Friday I went to the last day of Expo Korea, I didn't really take that many pictures there but we got a lot of freebies and I bought a few things from the It's Skin booth that I'll be showing on my next post.

Super Junior was the group that got me into K-pop (although after Block B and 2NE1 became my greatest obsessions) I liked how my biases (Sungmin and Heechul) are in the middle of the panel so I had to take a picture ♡

Got a bag of Korean candy and a Bibimbap pen by winning the "Guess the Korean dish" game, I also won a traditional Korean tray but I gave it to my boyfriend's mom :3 They gave us other freebies too but I didn't mind taking a picture.
It was nostalgic going to Expo Korea, since I got into Lolita I kind of abandoned Korean culture, and originally I was more into K-pop and other Korean things. The K-pop scene of my city has changed a lot since I started attending k-pop events back in 2011, kids are too young and the fandom is way too large now, I miss how things used to be a couple of years ago.
Before heading back home we took a trip to the mall but that's for my next post. On Saturday not much went on, I had school obligations and by night I was really tired so we just stayed home, made some sandwiches and watched this awful Selena Gomez movie.  But last week I was talking about Elaine Monteiro shop and it reminded me that I'd been wanting to go there again for a long time. It's a very cute dessert shop around my neighborhood, it's perfect for a small Lolita meeting since they have a fair variety of tea.

The one thing I don't like about this place is that they have only a small variety of desserts despite being a dessert shop, almost everything they had was chocolate based, a flavor that I find a little boring, so I chose a cinnamon roll and was a happy choice after all, it was warm and tasted homemade.
Finally on Sunday I attended a Lolita meeting at Tea Connection, a tea house and restaurant near my house, a lot of lolitas went to the meeting and we occupied the whole second floor of Tea Connection. It wasn't a very nice day for me though, I was already unhappy with my outfit, I didn't have enough things to put a new outfit together, plus I really regret that I bought things from Bodyline, the shoes are fine but yeah...I don't think I'll buy from Bodyline from now on. But that's just a detail, the bad part is that although I love Lolita every time I'm about to go to a meeting something bad happens to me and last Sunday it wasn't different, it's already the 3rd time that I get excited about the meeting and then right before something bad happens and I get sad and don't feel like going to the meeting anymore, if I happen to decide to go I can't enjoy myself because I often feel insecure and can't approach anyone to talk so it ends up being kinda boring for me, it was my 5th time wearing Lolita so far but none of those times were an actual good time. Last Sunday it was specially bad, I spent most of the time sipping my tea quietly. Until I was 19 I used to have many friends (not that many, but you know, as many friends a normal person usually has) and then I just started to become more and more introverted and now, 3 years later is a real struggle to me to approach people or try making new friends. Anyway, into the outfit, I went with an outfit I already had worn before but with a different beret and with a proper wig.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the ''rant'' guys and also I'm sorry for saying bad things about Bodyline, it's just my personal opinion but if you like Bodyline I totally respect that. Things are a little bit tense these days and I'm very tired but I received a really cute letter from my Austrian penpal today and I hope I'll post about that and the little things I bought at Expo Korea soon  ♡

Awesome weekend trip and cute things ♡

Hello everyone! I'm so glad to be back with another post. Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit Campos do Jordão with my boyfriend, his mom and his aunt. In case you do not know, and it's very likely that you don't, Campos do Jordão is the highest city of Brazil! Which means there are many stunning views with hills and mountains and the weather there tends to be a lot colder than the other cities which attracts many tourists specially during winter! Indeed last weekend it was 7C degrees there which is quite cold compared to most brazilian cities.
Campos do Jordão is very similar to Gramado, a city in the South of Brazil, both cities seems to have a lot of German influences. There are a lot of nice places to visit while in Campos or Gramado. It was my first time in Campos and I loved it but I still think Gramado is better (although is very far way from my city).
We arrived there on Friday around noon and left Sunday around noon too, I took a lot of pictures, some ended up good and some didn't so sorry about that.

World's most expensive chocolates, I don't recall any other time I've experienced such an abusive price, be aware with things you are supposed to weight and then pay --'.
The city is filled with bars, chocolate stores, cafés and such, brazilians, who are used to a more tropical weather have the chance to wear winter garments like gloves, hats, ear muffs, etc, a little over the top for a mildly cold weather I know, but, European people as soon as it is, like, 20 degrees are already on their bikinis which is weird for us too.
Also I'd like to point out that we can expect any touristic city to be expensive, but be careful when shopping because sometimes prices can be really abusive, see the chocolates on the last picture above? Five small bonbons cost us R$17,00 (about 7.50 USD).

View from our hotel room.
Cute café. Ignore my boyfriend's crotch please lol.
Campos at night time, so pretty.
For out first night's dinner we decided to go to a German restaurant. We ordered mini hamburgers and a potato soup in the bread, the food was good but the soup was so thick that you could actually use a fork to eat it '-'. Near by the German restaurant there was a Japanese place that was so pretty that I had to take a picture too.

Forever having to remove onions --'
We wasted the bread because there was no room in our stomachs which made me feel really bad because I hate wasting food :/

The place I enjoyed the most was a creperie called Valentine, we went there on Saturday for a crepe, the decor was so tasteful.

We ordered a berry and chocolate crepe. Although it looks very sweet it was actually very ''light'' and not too sugary.

The picture doesn't show but it was filled with strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. There's a really good crepe place in my city too that eventually I'll talk about, but the environment is not nearly as fancy as Valentine's.

After Valentine we finally went to Ana Cañas show, a brazilian singer, I didn't know her very well but enjoyed the show, she has the best hair ever.

For dinner we ended up in a Swiss restaurant. We ordered another soup, which the menu described as being a very rich Swiss cheese consommé, again it came inside the bread, but this time we actually ate the entire bread, it was just ridiculous because the bread was huge! We also ordered a rösti potato and shared. From all things I tried in this trip the Swiss soup thing was my favorite, it was so so yummy I'm actually craving it right now.

The restaurant was dark and all by candle lights hence the pictures are quite bad :/. On Sunday we came back to São Paulo early and ended up having lunch here, we also went to the lovely Cold Stone and this time tried Cheesecake Fantasy.

Funghi and leek risottos, I liked the place and the food but I don't remember the restaurant's name now '-'

They need to open more Cold Stone stores around here because people were lining up in front of the place last Sunday. Cheesecake Fantasy was good but Strawberry Banana Rendezvous is my favorite so far.
During the past week I also got a few nice things: a pair of pink frilly socks arrived and my boyfriend's mom gave me a super cute pink cardigan she bought during our trip in Campos, she also bought me a pink hat but I forgot to take a picture ;-;
My boyfriend surprised me with Animal Crossing New Leaf, the game I've been wanting forever, it was the best present ever and I'm already addicted to the game, I can't play much now though because school has just started and I have to study a lot, hopefully once I get my place in college I'll be able to play all day ♡
